Welcome to the George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center. In 1926, the Phoenix Union Colored High School opened as the segregated High School for African Americans living in Phoenix, Arizona. Today, the George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center is a national historic site dedicated to the collection, documentation, preservation, study, and dissemination of the history and culture of African Americans in Arizona. 

Please join us for a tour of the Carver Center on Thursday, March 20th at 10:15 The Carver Center is located at 415 E Grant St, 85004. No host lunch to follow at The Farm At South Mountain, located at 6106 S. 32nd St. The cost is $25.00 per person due on Thursday, March 13th. This is payable through the website by charge or by check. Checks should be submitted to Mary McMahon or Clede Gorrell by Thursday, March 13th.
